This is just one sweet car. This vehicle went through a complete professional restoration. Everything was done to an excellent standard. Under the hood of this sweet ride sits the 201 cu in motor that was all completely rebuilt as well. It has been upgraded with dual carbs, a zepher intake manifold, custom header pipe and exhaust as well. This is all mated to a 3 speed transmission. This car is capable of reaching 75 mph on the highway. The interior has been all redone as well. These racers were very brave to say the least. There have been correct gauges installed in the wood dash as well like vacuum, amps, and steering column mounted temp and oil pressure gauges. There is just so much stuff to look at on this cool car, we could go on and on all day long. The majority of the customers that buy vehicles from us are very happy with their purchases. Just toys classic cars is proud to present this stunning 1980 shay roadster. The history on these cars goes all the way back to the 70's. Here is a quote from the shay website with a little history, harry j. Shay founded the model a & model t motor car reproduction corporation in the spring of 1978 (which name was changed to shay motors corporation in november of 1980). Harry shay had a great deal worked out with ford. The plan was to send at least one car to every ford dealership across the usa. Ford got publicity and attracted customers to its showrooms and shay got access to an extraordinary distribution network. One dealer in new-jersey even said he had people lined up in front of his dealership (shades of december 1927!). Other dealers reported floor traffic of 200 to 600 people in a single day when they first placed a shay in their showroom. A california dealer said he had not seen such response since the introduction of the mustang almost 15 years earlier. This car is extremely clean from tip to tail and top to bottom. The 2. 3 ford 4cyl runs flawlessly and the 4 speed transmission is right and tight. Everything works just like it should and everything is tight. The interiors of these cars are very simple just like they were back on the 20's. No frills in these cars. That being said, everything is in great shape. No rips or tears in the interior or top. 1929 ford model a tudor 'patina' hot rod conver-table this cult movement started in california. Maybe it's the influence of "happy day's" or the new steampunk movement but, there's a growing number of people daily who are 'over' "trailer queens", "matching numbers" and "garage pedestal cars". Once again, we searched for almost a year and finally found. Another fabulous "patina rod". One that stands-out heads and shoulders above the norm. A 'unique car' that reeks of personality and will be the hit of any car show. We, personally, have found car's like this get more 'attention' from the crowds or, at the curb than anything we have ever owned/showed. This rod is an original example of an original (titled), rust-free 1929 ford tudor sedan transformed into a rolling work of art. Customized and mounted with a modern drivetrain so, one has the best of both worlds. We seek out the first cabin build's by professionals. Essentially a 'new' car with an old body. This entire body has been modified chopped 6" and channeled 4+" with all new door strikers and handles. All new floors were welded or riveted in, while the frame is fully boxed, with a pie cut front and stepped 16" in the rear by professionals, just like a race car. The soft top is completely 'removable' hence we call it a "convertable". This car is custom painted in 3 layers of color (brown/green/l. Brown) with the final result of 'faux rust'. It has a removable soft top. It is fitted with a 350 4 bolt-main & competition heads, aluminum manifold with 650 cfm carb (resulting in 350+hp), but, in allegiance to it's ford heritage, the valve covers are custom cut/fitted "mercury" units. The custom air cleaner is built in a steampunk theme w/ vintage "mercury" metal script*. The custom headers are modified with a motorcycle muffler system. It carries a fresh 400 automatic transmission with shift kit & lokar floor shift, "a. C. " (vintage fan), aluminum radiator with jack daniels overflow bottle, all new custom-built super bell drilled front axle, posie spring w/ pete & jake shocks, 1940 ford-style front brakes, truck drum rear w/ transverse spring, while it carries a ford 9" rear diff. Totally rebuilt high for spirited hi-speed highway driving. it is even fitted with a vintage "sun shield" visor. This rod has working headlights (hi/lo beam), and 3rd stop/tag light. Plus, a full set of lit gauges to include; laughable original speedo, fuel, oil and temp. Old school bias-ply wide whitewall tires are by firestone on 15" smoothies while the seats are custom built aircraft seats with a mexican blanket theme and luxury padding installed with modern matching seatbelts. The leather wrapped steering wheel is removable for even easier entry /egress and the steering column is custom made with a vintage brass mercury badge. She even carries a matching showcard for car shows. These are most often seen 'thrown together' in a backyard or body shop. This is not a childish-looking, box of bolts covered with devil heads, gothic dragons 'n spears, it is a safe, professionally built hot rod that has passed a california safety inspection. We added the rare, old school spinner hubcaps w/adapters, custom 'guide" ambulance tail lights w/ led update, exterior 29 ford mirrors, signal lights, vintage decals, and more. This car is a dreamboat to drive... Guaranteed to be another car show winner.
